NEW YORK, Dec 4, 2009 / FW/ — Longchamp adds to the revival of visual merchandising by commissioning the artist Boudro for new exclusive artworks that will be on display to in the label’s Soho flagship store from January 6, 2010 to January 30, 2010 on the occasion of its season sales.
Well known for his pop style pieces of puzzles with the Big Apple atmosphere, Boudro renders his unique, sensuous and total experience of New York as a microcosm of itself.
Using pure colors and a postmodern /comic strip /pop style, Boudro’s complex, overfilled and detailed compositions reflect the fast paced lifestyle and feverish atmosphere that is found in the Big Apple.
BOUDRO’s disproportion of the elements and perspectives provoke in the observer’s mind the impression of being totally involved in the dynamism and vitality of the city – always with a touch of humor. He now puts more emphasis on two ever-present mediums: advertising and comic strips, creating an urban ballet to the music of yellow cabs and new millennium atmosphere.
Expect this kind of display at the Longchamp Soho flagship located at 132 Spring St at Greene St.
