PARIS, Dec 17, 2009 / FW/ — For almost two centuries, creativity and modernity of unique and exclusive products have been the prime assets of Delvaux.
Inspired by that tradition, the House of Delvaux, known for its luxury leather goods since 1829, builds a Christmas collection centered around the color RED with its ‘Brilliant’ model bag as its jewel.
Proposed in six different types of leather: Trotteur leather, Alligator, Ostrich and Lizard, Toile de Cuir or Magic, the red Brilliant Christmas bag is a special version of one of Delvaux’s flagship models and a distinctive way of continuing to pay tribute to age-old traditions, while adding a glossy finish to ensure the Christmas spirit comes shining through.
Founded in 1829, the House of Delvaux has been supplying the Belgian court since 1883, and was the first to register a model of bag in 1908, and went on to invent the concept of a leather goods season.
Its flagship collections bear the names Brillant, Tempête, Astrid,… Its workforce is 210 strong, and over half of them are skilled craftsmen and women.
The House of Delvaux, which currently has a presence in a number of countries including Japan, France and Russia, continues to express its passion for leather, quality craftsmanship and innovation, based on unique know-how that can be found throughout the range.
