DALLAS, Dec 23, 2009 / FW/ — In the indie movie ‘Textuality’ there are actually four major characters – Jason Lewis, Eric McCormack, Carly Pope and the Blackberry because the “courtship” usually associated with dating is done via texting.

But, wait! There is a very prominent supporting character – Mackage! The Canadian brand is also prominently featured in this Canadian film as Jason Lewis, Eric McCormack and Carly Pope were all spotted wearing Mackage jackets on the set.

Textuality is a romantic comedy based on modern day relationships that seem to be more and more high tech which was recognized early by pop culture in “You’ve Got Mail” (1998) starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan.

Twelve years later, “Textuality” comes around, this time defining the ambiguity, the frustration and humor that arises from “texting” as a form of courtship. It explores the paradox of today’s 20 and 30- something’s: those who find it easier to be connected to everyone than to feel connected with anyone.

The movie just finished filming in Toronto just in time, believe it or not before all the Blackberry outages that we have been getting. Interestingly, RIM, the owner of Blackberry is also a Canadian company!

No dates had been announced yet when Textuality will hit theaters.
