PARIS, Jan 23, 2010 / FW/ — Opening the Paris menswear season, Alexi Mabille brought romance, valor and confidence on the runway as he proposed a wardrobe for the 21st century French gentleman.
Bowties, scarves, suspenders, and buttons, all of which are normal items in a man’s wardrobe had been turned into whimsical adornments and accessories.
Sticking to a tight color palette of black, white and gray, Alexis Mabille sent shirts with tiny black bowties pinned all over a white shirt, oversized safety pins as closures and filigree as belt buckles. Slim jersey trousers and comfortable pants are paired with jacquard suits and button-studded cardigans.
