Atelier Gustavo Lins Haute Couture Spring 2010PARIS, Jan 27, 2010 / FW/ — Putting both his menswear and haute couture under the umbrella name of 014 Collection allowed Gustavo Lins to explore the concept of the galvanizing energy of men and women in a climate of timeless, athletic elegance.

Once again choosing the graphic image of a straight body struggling against the wind with the spiral construction, Gustavo Lins designed the skirts to look like as if they are billowing, as if lifted by a mischievous wind.

The woolen cloth is fresh, the leather is as supple as a glove, the fur light, the waterproof cotton catches the light with its jagged folds, and the fluid knitwear is infused with high-octane colors.

Referencing Japanese culture, Gustavo Lins created corsets that are based on the obi, which like the original maintains the waist. Worn under the kimono-inspired coats, the look becomes a 21st century rendition of a very strong silhouette.
