bucklerMF1001NEW YORK, Feb 14, 2010 / FW/ — With Wednesday’s snow having turned to slush, the trip downtown was unpleasant but the Buckler Fall 2010 menswear presentation was worth braving the cold and wet winter day.

Proposing a cool and hip wardrobe for today’s working lad, Buckler made wearing a suit fashion forward. Young office workers can choose from a short cropped double breasted suit jacket paired with trousers that are pleated in front and tapers towards calves; or a two-button single-breasted jacket with a matching low waist and low crotch trousers.

This might not be a good look for a lawyer who has to appear in court, but definitely acceptable for a young intern even in Capitol Hill.

Going on the other end of the spectrum, Buckler also dressed the artist, the musician, even the outdoorsy gent who likes to go hiking or just going rustic. Plaid shirts worn over knitted or woolen sweaters or vice-versa are paired with canvas pants or denim.

Sleeveless vests, quilted jackets, hooded coats with fur that are sometimes lined with shearling make up the outerwear.

Buckler did not broken new grounds in menswear this season but for Fall 2010, he successfully combined wearability and artistry to come up with a commercially viable collection.
