toni_francesc_F10preview08DALLAS, Feb 7, 2010 / FW/ — It was at Madrid Fashion Week that FW became aware of Toni Francesc and his penchant for futurism and the avant-garde.

Then, we met his again in Milan and that was when we realized that Francesc’s unique vision is a harbinger of what was to come, that the Spanish designer is ahead of the curve when it comes to interpreting the surreal and the peculiar into wearable and highly desirable clothing.

Returning to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week for a second time, Toni Francesc will present his Fall/Winter 2010-2011 collection on Tuesday, February 16 at 9:00pm in the Salon at Bryant Park.

Entitled “Artificial Intelligence”, Toni Francesc’s Fall 2010 collection is an in-depth interpretation of the future without overlooking the roots of the past and the world of hand crafted creation. The silhouettes are based on a mixture of pieces that protrude from different body parts such as the shoulders and hips.

No, this is not Avatar, but it can easily well be the costume design for a sequel to Blade Runner if ever Hollywood decides to do one.
