Damir-Doma-paris-aw-2010

PARIS, March 7, 2010/ FW/ — Damir Doma continues his triumphant march in Paris with the debut of his womenswear collection that he unveiled in a full capacity crowd that included the international press, retail buyers and fans.

A familiar name in the menswear scene, Damir Doma demonstrated that he can turn his signature style of fluid silhouettes of contemporary masculinity into something feminine and ethereal.

Proposing a tight color palette of black and gray, Damir Doma brought his audience to the East. Taking away the fluff and the embellishments that he deemed unnecessary, Damir Doma unveiled his soul in this collection.

Sarawel trousers and hooded jumpsuits featured intricate draping that started with the garment itself, and then slowly morphed into a hat or hood. It is simple and severe, yet strong and unyielding in its statement.
