dmitri_chrisF1002MONTREAL, Mar 3, 2010 / FW/ — First, I would like to say that I am a fan of menswear, so I was really looking forward to the Dmitri Chris show. But, the high anticipation turned out to be a big disappointment because though I attended the show, I was not able to see anything.

With strobe lights and a smoke machine at the beginning of the runway, I could barely make out the models coming out. I know that they are wearing clothes, but that was about it. I cannot see the color nor could I see if they were even wearing a jacket. In short, the Dmitri Chris show was what weathermen describe as ZERO VISIBILITY.

And for me, this is truly sad. I would really love to write something about Dmitri Chris Fall 2010 collection, but I cannot since I can barely describe the clothes. When the photographers submitted their photos, I finally saw the collection.

Still, this is menswear wherein details are the key. Case in point – how many buttons on the sleeves were used; are the shoulders rounded or squared; do you need to wear cuff links on the dress shirts?

And to be fair to everyone, I have included a short video that I shot from my seat so that you can see exactly what I saw.

Again, I would like to reiterate that I am truly sorry because the collection could be a good one, but because of bad show production it came out as a flop in my eyes.
