PARIS, March 9, 2010/ FW/ — After the departure of its founder, Maison Martin Margiela mixed practical and wearable clothes with eccentric accessories, like the oversized fur hat that actually reaches below the buttocks.

A standout that will surely fly off the shelves when it reaches the stores is the double-breasted gray python jacket that is classical and timeless. But, the real triumph of the season are the wide and loose fitting gabardine pants that may start a new trend on women’s trousers.

Still, the rectangle seems to be the message of the season. Season in the form of a broad belt, it looks quite original. The rectangle is also seen as a white clutch or envelope bag.
