MADRID, Apr 4, 2010 / — Cati Serrà was born in Majorca in May 1986. In June 2009, she graduated in Fashion Design at the ESDI Advanced School of Design in Barcelona, and then from the University of Southampton, England, with the highest marks in her class on her end-of-university project.

Having received acknowledgement for her excellent academic achievements, she was awarded the ESDI Medal for Valedictorian of the Class of 2008/09. While studying, she worked with the company Kleyman on the FEM project.

She won the Leonardo Prize of 2008 for prints in the Special Effects category. And in summer of 2008, she did an internship at the study of designer Miguel Adrover, though which she participated in the production of the designer’s presentation / installation during New York Fashion Week in September 2008.

Later on, the collection she created for the end of her university studies was put on display in “Genial Fashion” at STIB (Barcelona International Text Fair). She was made a finalist with this collection in the competitions Pasarela Mallorca, ModaFad Cover-T and Best Young Designer of Catalonia.
