eugenia_kim_target02DALLAS, Apr 2, 2010 / FW/ — Here in the U.S., Easter Sunday is perhaps the only day of the year wherein women are encouraged to wear hats. But, if award-winning accessory designer Eugenia Kim has her way, women will wear hats the whole year round.

A graduate of Parsons School of Design, Eugenia Kim made her name as a milliner early on when her own cloche hat received orders while she was still in school. Soon after, she opened her first retail store in New York’s East Village.

Today, her line of hats can be found in over 100 boutiques around the world, as well as Bloomingdales, Barneys New York and Neiman Marcus.

And from April 18 – Jun 20, 2010, Eugenia Kim hats will be sold at Target stores and online at www.target.com for a fraction of their high street counterparts.

Announced last December, Target has partnered with Eugenia Kim for a one-off, limited-time-only collection. The Eugenia Kim for Target hat collection is the first of a series of collaborations planned by the trendy retailer to bring on-trend and functional accessories that fit into any budget.

Inspired by Havana, Cuba, the Eugenia Kim for Target collection includes cloche, fedora, sun-hat, bucket hat, newsboy and pillbox silhouettes using woven and printed fabrics with various embellishments. Price ranges from $14.99-$19.99.
