MADRID, Apr 2, 2010 / — “En Garde” accurately defines the concept worked on in the Juanjo Oliva
Fall 2010 / Winter 2011 collection.

A term borrowed from fencing, “en garde” is the art of defense, and sport, applying it this term it directly to the project. Attentive, willing, concentrated and ready or, in other words, en garde, for anything that might happen to us.

With this spirit in mind, the Juanjo Oliva woman had been drawn as one who defends the way she is and the way she projects herself onto her environment.

With strict pattern designs and cuts, we have used the uniform to begin the process, stripping it of structure and weight to eventually reach the soft and the light, finding confidence in nakedness.
