DALLAS, Apr 20, 2010 / FW/ — We all know that the winter holidays (Christmas, Hanukah and Kwanza) are the most important holidays when it comes to gift giving.

But did you know that Mother’s Day, though not an official holiday on any calendar is the second biggest holiday in the U.S.?

According to the National Retail Federation (NRF) 2010 Mother’s Day Consumer Intentions and Actions Survey, 83.3% of American will be celebrating this holiday this year.

Moms will be treated to a dinner out and gifted with clothing, jewelry and flowers as everyone celebrates the woman with the most important job in the world.

The same survey says that consumers are for unique and sentimental ways to show Mom that she is important.
