MADRID, Apr 8, 2010 / — The Roberto Torretta 2011 Autumn-Winter Collection shows a tougher more sober side than in preceding seasons, without forgetting the elegance and femininity that always characterizes him.

The collection takes its inspiration from the post-war Berlin of the 1940s. Military details are the focus of attention in the form of shoulder pads and double-breasted, structured coats. Suits with a masculine air are combined with suggestive dresses which play a pivotal role both in day and in evening wear.

Made in jersey with satin or satin with wool, they evidence the interesting and meticulous treatment of the fabrics and textures.

Original cotton cloths, tweeds and jacquards draw a stylized silhouette based on pencil skirts, tightly-fitting dresses and essential drainpipes.

The image is rounded off with an injection of the 80s, which can be recognised by the marked shoulders and metallic effects in sequins and leather evoking the purest Blade Runner style.

The autumn colour palette is based on blacks, kakis and camel enriched with sky-blues, Venetian pinks and burnt oranges. This is Roberto Torretta for Autumn-Winter 2011
