PARIS, May 3, 2010 / FW/ — The name “Carine Gilson Lingerie Couture” says it all. Designer Carine Gilson views underwear as uberwear, a precious item that is sensitive to the woman who wears it.

The materials used are luxe – the magnificent Lyon’s silk, the lightest muslin, the most Chantilly laces, hence when they are called ‘fineries’ which is how underwear is called at times, the term finery is not just a word to describe Carine Gilson lingerie. The word “finery” defines it.

A graduate in Fine Arts from the celebrated Antwerp Academy, Carine Gilson was only 23 when she bought a small sewing workshop.

This enabled her to launch the first Carine Gilson lingerie Couture collection in 1994.

In addition to her Parisian address, her collections are also available from New York to Beverly Hills as well as London with a new Carine Gilson store in Tokyo.
