MADRID, May 6, 2010 / — Wedding fashion, party-wear and First Communion attire will once again make up the exhibition at MADRID NOVIAS, the International Bridal Fashion Exhibition, which will stage its eighth edition between 6th and 9th May at Feria de Madrid.

Once again this year, this fair organised by IFEMA will bring together the best ideas and collections for brides and bridegrooms, as well as ceremony and First Communion attire, for next season 2011, based on the participation of 132 companies and brands.

As is customary, MADRID NOVIAS will bring together a number of great names and brands from the current world of Spanish fashion in both its trade area and in the fashion show known as CIBELES MADRID NOVIAS, such as Hannibal Laguna, Elio Berhanyer, Devota & Lomba, Duyos, Miquel Suay, Carlos Haro, Ana Torres and Novissima. They will be accompanied at this edition by Joaquim Verdú, Rubén Perlotti, Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Javier Arnáiz, Marcos Marrero-María Díaz (M&M), Mercedes Alonso and Francis Montesinos, Matilde Cano,María Coca and Marga Sánchez.

On 6th and 7th May, the CIBELES MADRID NOVIAS Fashion Show will present the collections of 28 designers in Hall 14.1, coinciding with the staging of the trade exhibition at the fair. Among the new features at this edition, we might highlight the staging of a First Communion fashion parade for the first time in Spain.

This event will take place on 7th May at 4.00 p.m., based on the participation of Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Hortensia Maeso para Rubio Kids, Barcarola and Miquel Suay, all of whom form part of the general fashion parade programme, alongside the wedding fashion parades for brides and bridegrooms and a further parade focused on accessories and lingerie.

In short, MADRID NOVIAS will continue to consolidate its role as the most important wedding fashion fair in Spain, an event that brings together the majority of the most prestigious designers within Spain’s wedding fashion sector.
