NEW YORK, May 8, 2010 / FW/ — Since we’ve seen the graduation collections, it’s now time to see the commencement exercises. On May 25th, at Radio City Music Hall, the Fashion Institute of Technology will honor its 1,400-strong Class of 2010.

Nina Garcia, fashion director at Marie Claire magazine, Project Runway judge, and FIT alumna, will give the commencement address.

Iconic fashion designer and FIT alumna Norma Kamali and Hasbro Industry’s retired chairman and CEO Alan Hassenfeld will receive Honorary Doctor of Fine Arts degrees.

During her 40 year career, Kamali has pioneered both legendary creations and cutting-edge technology. Under Hassenfeld, Hasbro produced Mr. Potato Head, G.I. Joe, Transformers, Scrabble, Monopoly, and Tonka trucks.
