NEW YORK, Jun 3, 2010 / — Jacqueline Rank will debut her first solo swimwear collection during the Swim Show 2011 in Miami to be held at The Miami Beach Convention Center on July 17 – 20, 2010.
A 2009 graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, Jacqueline Rank just got accepted recently into the Swimwear Association of Florida. She presented her first swimwear collection September 10, 2009 during Mercedes Benz fashion week.
Jacqueline was part of a team design effort named Stem Designs. The collection was well received: “In their debut collection, Jacqueline Rank presented a sharp, graphic collection in which the strongest pieces were flirty swimsuits and bikinis,” WWD.
Now she is ready to embark solo under her own name Jacqueline Rank.
Many of the designs are reminiscent of the 1960’s and the go-go era, in particular the cage designs that are grid like fabrications. Many of the shapes are bikinis. There is a vivid color palate of bright purple, neon green, hot pink, and electric turquoise blue. The collection features four categories: printed, sheer, cage and reflective. It has a young and modern sensibility to it.
“My Spring Summer 2011 swimwear collection is optical, flirty, and fun. It references the geometric sharp angles of the 1966 Opt Art Phase in Fashion,” said Jacqueline Rank about her collection.
