NEW YORK, Sep 8, 2010 / — Bryan Adams fans, brace yourself!!! Calvin Klein Collection will open its doors for a special evening in support of the second annual “Fashion’s Night Out 2010” at the brands’ Madison Avenue flagship store from 6pm to 11pm on Friday, September 10th with a special performance by Bryan Adams and an exhibition of his photographs.
“Fashion’s Night Out 2010” is the second annual evening dedicated to shopping and special events in support of the one-night-only global shopping initiative presented by Vogue, NYC & Company, The CFDA, and The City of New York.
Calvin Klein Collection’s creative directors Francisco Costa and Italo Zucchelli will co-host the event – alongside special guest host, Tonne Goodman, Fashion Director, Vogue Magazine – which will feature a one-of-a-kind evening of shopping and a special preview of new photographic works by musician and photographer Bryan Adams.
Adams has once again partnered with Calvin Klein, Inc. to photograph a select group of influential American women, as a follow up to the beautifully executed “American Women” book of black & white photography which was published in 2005.
For this new project, Adams photographed Julianne Moore, Renee Zellweger, Ginnifer Goodwin, Kerry Washington, Lucy Liu, Dree Hemingway, Tonne Goodman, Cynthia Nixon, Hilary Rhoda, Desiree Rogers, Katie Lee, Mamie Gummer, Brooklyn Decker, Iris Apfel, Kelly Klein, Mila Kunis, Marilyn Minter, and Jerry Hall.
The exhibition of the new series of portraits will be on view to the public from Friday, September 10th through September 17th. Each of the portraits will be available for purchase and the profits from their sale — along with 10% of all purchases made between 6pm – 11pm during the Fashion’s Night Out event on September 10th — will benefit the NYC AIDS Fund.
Adams, will also perform two short acoustic sets on the main floor during the evening, while Goodman and the Calvin Klein Collection’s creative director’s Costa and Zucchelli will be on hand to give clients style advice and one-on-one fashion consultations.
