MADRID, Oct 23, 2010 / — In his own words, Ion Fiz described his eponymous label’s Spring 2011 collection entitled “Love at first sight” which was unveiled last Sep 18th during Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week.

“It happened when I came face to face with the haute patisserie miracle that the entire world has learned to pronounce with due sensuality: Macaroon. I became a staunch supporter after the first bite.

The voluptuousness of its shapes and the delicacy of its pastel shades seduced me to the extent that the most aristocratic of confectionery pieces became the inspiration for this collection, perhaps because I myself am living a moment as sweet as that of such a whimsical object of delight.

And the development of this collection was based on this mouthwatering philosophy: dresses with a bright, colourist, reinforced exterior, filled with smooth layers in cream hues that look like a sweet; apparently simple silhouettes, which have a complex recipe for their creation; more structured tailored garments which embrace others that are lighter and more suggestive and asymmetrical, creating contrasting silhouettes of textures and volumes.
