PARIS, Oct 7, 2010 / RFR/ — Inspired by his mother who is originally from Sweden and immigrated to Italy when she was young, Rochas’ Creative Director Marco Zanini skillfully mixed Scandinavian elements with the puritanical silhouettes of her era creating a nostalgia of those passing summers of youth.

With the use of vintage shades and cool tones of purple, blue and pale pink, a retro feel was added and then reinforced with the conservative hem lengths of below the knee or reaching the ankles.

Tone on tone sun dresses with fluffy long skirts, bright ribbons and scarves and glasses reminiscent of pince-nez, there is a Bergman-esque romance in the air.
