PARIS, Nov 27, 2010 / FW/ — For the fashionista who has everything, a tome about KENZO penned by the label’s Artistic Director Antonio Marras and by Olivier Saillard might just be the perfect gift under the tree.

Entitled simple “KENZO”, the book is the first exhaustive treatise every published to present the portrait of KENZO, a fashion House whose aesthetic celebrates diversity and universal culture.

Published by Rizzoli International, KENZO is presented in two distinct versions, the first being the Standard edition of hardback fabric cover printed in 3 different patterns (Price: €55 / US$75).

The Deluxe edition which is offered in hardback beige canvas cover and a special sleeve in transparent acetate printed with a Kenzo pattern is available exclusively at Kenzo boutiques. This edition also comes with a bag in a patchwork of different fabrics. (Price: €140 / US$180)

An extraordinary collectible, KENZO creatively presents forty years of the Paris-based fashion house, founded by Japanese designer Kenzo Takada and now revitalized under artistic director Antonio Marras, who has been at the helm since 2003.

Conceived as a visual dialogue between two great fashion designers, Kenzo Takada and Antonio Marras, narrated by authors from domains as diverse as art, fashion, literature and spectacle, this publication is an invitation on a voyage of discovery and exchange to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the brand and enter the new decade in a spirit of fantasy and freedom.

The first monograph on KENZO, this lavish volume—an an art object in and of itself—features details like the romantic textiles, and pop-ups for which the house’s fashion collection invitations are known.

The monograph will be available in one deluxe version, with a fabric cover and complete with a patchwork bag (available in the KENZO flagship stores only) and three different other fabric covers (available in a selection of bookstores).
