NEW YORK, Nov 24, 2010 / FW/ — Just in time for Cyber Monday, New York-based designer Yigal Azrouel launched his e-commerce channel this week and also made his first move to social media with his new official blog “Inside the Studio”, as well as official brand outposts on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

Visitors will now be allowed to purchase Yigal Azrouël women’s and men’s ready-to-wear and accessories, as well as the full line of Cut25, the new contemporary brand concept designed and owned by Yigal Azrouël directly from the designer’s website – www.yigal-azrouel.com/shop

The brand’s web flagship store emulates the design concept that is prominent in its New York City Meatpacking District boutique, while also delivering an innovative and interactive online shopping experience.

The store also features “quick buys” of looks straight from the runway, as well as shopping from a full head-to-toe look. The company is also excited to announce the innovative “Shop By Texture” feature (image attached), a comprehensive and detailed filtering option that allows consumers to search for very specific items through a fabric mosaic.

The online store will launch with distribution in the United States, with international expansion plans imminent, and will be stocked with close to 20% of exclusive ready-to-wear styles.

“The online shop is an exciting new addition of our retail operation. I love that we can reach our clients directly and offer them the same unique assortment that we have in our Meatpacking District store. I plan to offer more exclusive items and test categories as the audience grows,” said Yigal Azrouël, President and Creative Director.

The company is also pleased to announce its first initiatives in the social media space for both brands. The Yigal Azrouël masterbrand is launching an official blog, “Inside The Studio,” as well as an official Facebook page for fans of the brand and an official YouTube channel for video content – including runway shows and backstage footage.

Simultaneously, Cut25 is launching an official Facebook page for fans of the new line, an official YouTube channel for content including video lookbooks, and a Twitter presence to allow users to “follow” the Cut25 design team.

“Inside The Studio” will take readers inside the world of the Yigal Azrouël company with in-depth features written by key insiders from different internal departments, as well as from outside experts and friends of the brand in broad range of fields – from sound designers to stylists and artists. Yigal himself will be also be a frequent contributor to the blog.

“The blog is the perfect format to tell stories about and around the brand that are more informed and in-depth than can be offered through a Facebook status update. We hope to develop a touchstone for fans and customers that allows them to connect with the company, product and story in a much more meaningful and interactive way. This ongoing initiative coincides perfectly with our simultaneous e-commerce launch,” said Cena Hackler Jackson, Director of Public Relations.
