MILAN, Dec 3, 2010 / — In Marrakech, Morocco, in the charmed atmosphere of the prestigious and historical hotel La Mamounia, the Fédération de la Couture Traditionelle du Maroc will stage the second edition of “Fashion Days Maroc” on Dec 8 – 10, 2010.

A new event on the fashion calendar “Fashion Days Maroc” combines luxury, sophistication and tradition in order to facilitate the development of the activities related to the world of couture, to support young, creative talents and to underline the value of Moroccan craftsmanship, one the most relevant elements of this country’s heritage and identity.

Xavier-Guerrand Hermès, one of the most prestigious players in the field of international haute couture, will be partner of the event, attending all the shows on the 3 days schedule of this second edition of “Fashion Days Maroc” – taking place in Marrakech from December 8th through the 10th.

This year, the Fédération de la Couture Traditionelle du Maroc intended to add an international touch to the program of the event: with this in mind, several designers from France, Italy and the Middle East have been invited to hit the runway together with major Moroccan designers.

Dilek Hanif , Turkish haute couture and luxury ready-to-wear designer – will be the guest star of the closing event of “Fashion Days Maroc”: a selection of 15 stunning creations from her Fall 2010 / Winter 2011 haute couture collection will liven up the fund-raising gala scheduled at La Mamounia on December 10th, to support the activity of “Moroccan League for Children’s Protection”.

A major player in the Turkish fashion scene, Dilek Hanif is a designer-entrepreneur who, in expressing her country’s creativity and style with talent and energy, emerges a symbol of modern Turkey.

In 2004 she became the first representative of Turkish fashion system to be admitted on the official Paris Haute Couture calendar, where she still shows twice a year.
