NEW YORK, Dec 10, 2010 / FW/ — Las Vegas just became a little bit more fashionable with the arrival of New York’s fashion queen, Donna Karan. Celebrating its 25th anniversary, Donna Karan New York opened its first store in Las Vegas last Dec 8th.
Located at Crystals at CityCenter, the new Donna Karan New York outpost measures 3,000 square feet and offers all things Donna Karan including the designer’s 7-easy-pieces lifestyle, ready-to-wear, accessories, shoes, intimates, hosiery and fragrance.
Providing the signature Donna Karan personal touch, the new store will offer an in-room, style Concierge, where a customer can contact any one of the store’s full service stylists. The stylist will work one–on–one with her, suggesting specific looks and directing her to local hair and makeup artists.
Fittings and styling may be done by private appointment in the Comfort of her home or hotel room.
Designed by New York architect firm Bonetti/Kozerski studio, the urban store brings Donna Karan’s new York flagship sensibility to Las Vegas.
A dramatic glass facade holds an LED screen video wall, which plays a variety of media, from the latest Donna Karan videos, exclusive seasonal films and capabilities to live stream the Donna Karan fashion shows from New York.
Donna Karan’s signature design materials include polished ivory and black glass walls, limestone floors, driftwood and dark-stained furniture and accents of granite, bronze and antique brass.
The 20 foot Ceilings are undercut with urban–inspired architectural touches, like industrial skylights with lighting trusses and dramatic theater projectors.
The Las Vegas store marks the 13th Donna Karan New York store in the world, which includes flagship stores on Madison Avenue in New York City and on Conduit Street in London. The opening of the Las Vegas store follows the launch of e-commerce for DonnaKaran.Com in September.
