PARIS, Jan 24, 2011 / FW/ — Signing his fourth menswear collection, London-based designer Khalid Al-Qasimi was inspired by a boy struggling to cope with adolescence. Faced with an uncertain future, he rediscovered his tribal instincts to survive.

Entitled “Future Tribalism”, Qasimi pulled elements from the warrior class of men – body scars, traditional armors, tribal tattoo even cave art to create a collection that exudes the raw power of masculinity tempered by the uncertainty of youth.

With chocolate, tan and black as the main color palette, Qasimi used pebble, white and silver as contrasts to emphasize the duality of the collection. Quilted and oversized jackets are worn over super fitted trousers play on that contrast also.

Qasimi is becoming one of the mainstays in the Paris menswear scene and he is gaining momentum every season as he garners more fans and admirers with his unique view of fashion.
