MILAN, Feb. 23, 2011/FW/ — Milano Moda Donna is off to a very retro start after the Fall Winter collection by Angelo Marani. With the flair of sophisticated seductresses of the 1970s, his collection was romantic and nouveau vintage. Focusing on flared legs, belted vests, and lots of maxi silhouettes, this collection was also highly accessorized with wide-brimmed hats, fur, and platform shoes.

The Angelo Marani “hippy chic” woman this season is one who loves to wear scarves, bright jewelry, carpeted handbags, and socks with her studded sandals. She has no fear of mixing patterns, textures, or colors, and absolutely loves luxurious furs, animal prints, cashmere, and silk. The shearling coat and tweed suits played an important role in this collection, but we were especially spellbound by the high-waists and long skirts.
