LONDON, Feb 22, 2011 / FW/ — From Piccadilly Circus to Beijing, Burberry Prorsum live streamed its Fall 2011 runway show at 40 events worldwide to an estimated 1.2 million viewers, a first for any brand.

The show which took place earlier today at London’s Royal Park of Kensington Gardens was attended by over 1000 guests including Burberry CEO Angela Ahrendts, Rachel Bilson, Kate Bosworth, Alexa Chung, Stella Tennant, Maggie Cheung, Douglas Booth, Jamie Hince, Alison Mosshart, Anna Wintour, Samantha Cameron, Mario Testino, Laura Haddock, Lily Donaldson, Sam Clafin, Tom Hughes, Carl Barat, Sacha M’Baye, Alex Watson, Julia Restoin Roitfield, Daisy Lowe, Alice Dellal, Josh Beech, Sophie Kennedy-Clark, Jacob Young, Poppy Delevingne, Matthew Beard, Kelly Sotherton, Pippa Wilson, Nick Rhodes and Simon Le Bon and Burberry Acoustic musicians Misty Miller, Johnny Flynn, Rory Cottam, Gwilym Gold, Karen Anne, George Craig and Sam Beeton all of whom wore Burberry.

As part of 40 events, the show was streamed globally in Burberry flagship stores from Boston to Beijing, creating ‘buy from the runway’ in-store virtual trunk show events across 4 continents.

The 40th venue, London’s iconic Piccadilly Circus, streamed the show live onto the famous 32 metre digital screen.

The show can be viewed on demand online at Burberry.com as well as on news, fashion, music partner sites and through the iPhone and iPad

Viewers around the world are invited to buy the runway collection immediately after the show for one week, bringing the collection to consumers globally in 7 weeks

In an industry first, viewers can download music tracks from the show through the on demand service at Burberry.com using iTunes technology.

The Burberry Prorsum Womenswear Autumn Winter 2011 show took place today, Monday 21 February at 4PM.
