Erin Fetherston presented her latest collection at Milk Studios for the fall 2011 Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. As a previous creative and design consultant to Juicy, she has now earned a reputation as one to keep an eye on. Branching out on her own, Grecian and architectural influence, fueled the inspiration for this season.

Blush and ivory enhanced delicate chiffon pleated dresses and paisley prints accented by black and gold. Dresses were layered with medium length solid blazers. Skinny trousers introduced baby sequenced cropped jackets and vest blouses. There was a well-balanced mix between easy youthful dresses to chic tailored separates. Erin commented how she, “ enjoyed balancing both draped and tailored design directions into one cohesive idea.” This along with a welcoming price point has already made the ready to wear label very appeasable.

It was a spirited presentation as models adorned in gold Greek style jewelry and neatly braided updo’s, enjoyed an evening of laughter and small talk amongst them selves photographers and stylists.  Back stage Erin shared that the navy dress she was wearing that evening was a personal favorites. The presentation included the cocoon dress in ivory for this season. Erin also pointed out a black crepe Portia jacket with chiffon sleeves paired with black stretch faille skinny pants as the strongest representations of her efforts to blend drape and tailor aesthetics. We are excited to watch the label continue to grow as sophisticated separates begin to find their place in closets more and more each season.
