NEW YORK, Feb 16, 2011/ FW/ — Dedicated to find new ways to capture femininity and luxury, Joaquin Trias marveled the Fall/ Winter 2011 New York Mercedes Benz fashion week with his fourth collection. The self taught designer has be come the designer to follow as  his dedication to fabric research continues. During the presentation Joaquin couldn’t stress enough, the importance of finest quality in fabric.  “It’s about the fabric, the quality and the ease of the garments, I am excited to show detailed craftsmanship!” exclaimed the young designer. He did just that! The grand stage presence was a true affirmation of the momentum and energy propelling the label far ahead as strength, perfection, and innovation remains a platform to create garments that are luxurious, and timeless.

Joaquin selected a subtle range of blacks, grays with a cigar brown that was accented with, season defining Scottish green and retro blue. The presentation provided an array of sophisticated classics redefined by modern asymmetrical aesthetics. A subtle combination of texture was featured in Italian silks and wools along with a newly developed fabric from Japan. Dresses and separates were of three quarter sleeve and knee length variations; belted and layered. Accompanying a Scottish green twisted sleeve dress was the collections most eye catching garment, an overcoat done in Scottish green featuring, a double apribile and pleated sleeve detail. The combination of silks under fine tailored and crafted Italian wool pieces made for a sophisticated and highly appraised collection.
