NEW YORK, Feb 17, 2011/ — By using distinct menswear references, Yigal Azrouël has shown linear and sartorial silhouettes.

There is a play on formalwear here with oversized knit coats, tuxedo pants and flowing gowns. Rich fabrics such as duchesse satin, mink and ostrich gave the looks dimension and depth.

Azrouël has mostly emphasized with tweeds and herringbone threads, which are seen throughout the fall 2011 collection. Conceptual layering and the cinched waist were not forgotten this season.

What trend has stood out? The cropped pant featured in bold colors: royal, mandarin, curry and salmon.

A strong sense of personality and confidence shines throughout the collection. Celebrating the power of femininity through menswear inspiration, the pieces are not only strong but also very wearable.
