PARIS, Mar 4, 2011/FW/– Baptista’s goal to make things rigid into loose and deconstructed pieces proved a success at his show on Friday with minimalist attributes and black as the predominant color. With sporadic pops of primary hues showing sparingly on collars, necklines, and dresses, the quality was truly in the exquisite tailoring.
High button up and fur collars showed up in multitudes in correlation with a variety of minis and hooded pieces. Caped jackets streamed in line with long structured trenches, and fur hats topped off these winter delights. The highlight occurred not only in the sequin paneled short dresses but more strongly with the sweatshirt sleeved with small chiffon petals paired with skinny blue velvet pants.
