SHANGHAI, Apr 17, 2011/ — It’s a collaboration of superlatives. Top Formula 1 racing driver Michael Schumacher and NAVYBOOT creative director Adrian J. Margelist have joined forces to devise and develop four luxury sneakers that set new footwear benchmarks in their materials, style and design.
“I was able to contribute my experience from the motor racing world and feed the demands that anyone involved in sport is likely to have into the new models,” says Michael Schumacher of MSone collection. To put it in Formula 1 terms: these shoes are right on the pace!
MSone is the first collection to be born of NAVYBOOT’s long-standing association with Michael Schumacher. The Formula 1 star has long been giving his endorsement to the company and its products.

The materials
Each of the four new models boasts outstanding material quality, with the leathers used extending from nappa calfskin to salmon, water snakeskin, pearly ostrich leg and karung, all combined with polished crystals and 18-carat-gold adornments. Sneakers have never shone in such exclusive materials before.
The design
The whole upper of the new sneakers features clean and stylish lines. One unmistakable detail, however, is the hand-stitching around the tongue. Most of the lacing is concealed.
The design of the sole combines the key elements in this limited collection: the NAVYBOOT trademark artichoke, Michael Schumacher’s initials and seven stars representing his seven world championship titles.
The metal colour of the stars embodies the car industry, and is applied by hand.

The models
Morning: The first model of the MSone trilogy is the epitome of a perfect materials mix.
It’s the finest nappa calfskin and the pearly ostrich-skin leather that makes this everyday sneaker so unique.
The shape of the shoe is reminiscent of a Formula 1 car, and the sneaker is lightly padded, too.
The centred lacing at the front of the shoe is hidden up to the top loop.
The Afternoon is an extremely elegant sneaker manufactured from salmon leather in combination with silver-laminated goatskin and with nappa calfskin details. The lacing is fully concealed.

Nightlife is the most elegant model in the MSone trilogy.
With its fine calf suede leather decorated with round metal studs, its polished crystal highlights, its patent leather and its nappa lambskin piping, this is a shoe that is truly “ready for the night”!
And then there’s the Starboot, the absolute eyecatcher in the new MSone collection.
A high-top shoe made completely from red-dyed karung, the leather of the water snake. Seven 18-carat gold stars adorn its heel, while even the lacehooks have been lovingly handcrafted in 18-carat gold.
Exquisite materials, extensive attention to detail and a unique design imprint: the Starboot is the embodiment of true luxury footwear.
The Collector’s Boxes
The MSone takes the idea and impressions of the traditional sneaker and transforms it, through intense attention to detail, precision and the materials used, into an object in itself.
The result is both a genuine collector’s piece and a high-value consumer item. All MSone sneakers are available in a specially-designed plexiglass box in midnight black.
A Collector’s Box with the full new MSone trilogy is also being produced, in a limited edition of 888. Each box will feature its own metal plate stamped with the box’s serial number.
The Starboot Collector’s Box is limited to just 88. Here, too, each box will have a metal plate showing the box’s serial number.
Every Collector’s Box comes with a Certificate of Authenticity in the form of a book specially created for the project, superbly manufactured in the finest materials and only available together with a Collector’s Box.
The cover of the elegant book to accompany the Trilogy Collector’s Box will be signed by Adrian J. Margelist, while that of the Starboot Collector’s Box will bear Michael Schumacher’s personal signature.
