PARIS, July 6, 2011/ FW/ In a monochromatic show of red dresses swathed in red light, Alexandre Vauthier showed us some delectable pieces made for the vixen in every woman.  In a range of modern, even futuristic silhouettes, the collection played on the body hugging, curve accentuating, sensual draping techniques of the designer.

Citing his inspiration as smeared red lipstick, the textures in the collection were subtle, ranging from synthetic stretches to dyed red feathers and fur.  Plunging necklines, thigh-bearing slits, minimalist dresses, flowing chiffons, structured shoulders, sequins, mini and maxi, Vauthier pulled out all the stops for his Fall 2011 collection.  Red hot, the Vauthier woman is a siren who isn’t afraid to stand out, be a bit daring, and of course, glamorous above all else.
