PARIS, Aug 30, 2011/ — Just in time for Christmas, Parisian’s will be able to shop at Banana Republic as the San Francisco-based retailer opens a 16,000-square-foot-store at Champs Elysée in December.

Though this is not the first store in continental Europe (Banana Republic opened a flagship store in Milan in 2010), this is the first time that the retailer is opening an outlet in the French capital.

Interestingly enough, sister brand Gap has been operating in France since 1993 and currently has about 40 locations in the country.
