LONDON, Sep 18, 2011/ — On the third day of London Fashion Week, iconic British brand Mulberry took the fashion crowd on a trip to the seaside for its Spring Summer 2012 collection, transforming the Claridges Hotel Ballroom into a bright, eclectic scene reminiscent of pier arcades and kitsch camping holidays.

The show was inspired by nostalgic beachfront treats, seaside shenanigans and the quirky English summer holiday – whether full of sunshine or rain! Neon lights, inflatable animals balloons, candy stripped huts, vintage ice-cream vans and a pink carpet created a retro wonderland – the perfect complement to the luxe detailing, bold silhouettes and signature season prints – the brand’s most bonkers and beautiful season yet!

Following the show, the catwalk is in process of being transformed for the Mulberry Fashion Week party with Hot Chip on the decks, followed by a live performance by Emma Hill’s band of the moment, Hurts, for the second in a series of gigs as part of the Mulberry Mix Tape Tour – Mulberry’s global music-fest that kicked off with Kasabian at their New York party last week.
