NEW YORK, Sep 7, 2011/ FW/ — The New York fashion season continues to evolve as fashion scene expands.

First, Milk Studios which had been holding shows for the past 3 years is now officially “Milk Made.” Though there are still no official registration to attend the shows there, the “Milk Made” title makes it official that it is different from the others.

Second, Style 360 which had been around for at least 5 years is thriving at the Metropolitan Pavillion with Marithe & Francois Girbaud headlining the shows there for Spring 2012.
Meanwhile, an emerging venue, the Standard has also dubbed itself “Standard Made.”
And the biggest and official show of the New York season, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week also had changes this season.
To mark its one year anniversary at Lincoln Center, MBFW is debuting a new façade that will have a sleeker, sexier look along with the potential to integrate digital multimedia, offering designers and sponsors the opportunity for optimum exposure in seasons to come.
“We decided to evolve the design this season as we continually make improvements to the facility. We’re excited about the new more modern look of the façade, which juxtaposes itself against the more traditional architecture of Lincoln Center, as well as the flexibility it will provide over the next couple of seasons to explore digital integration and other technology driven enhancements,” said Peter Levy, SVP Managing Director, IMG Fashion Worldwide.
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2012 Collections takes place on September 8-15, 2011 at Lincoln Center’s Damrosch Park.
