For spring, Richard Chai presented his mens and women’s collection together. A first. As FASHION WINDOWS has stated we are noticing a return to the 70’s. Cultivating a hippie surf vibe. A variety of prints and textures that are bohemian without overkill. Look 1 made the statement that the rest collection was to follow. A women’s safari jacket worn over a yellow and green peplum tunic that looked liked burlap without the corse texture. Mr. Chai played with mismatching texture, pattern and layering. Some of it wacky but over overall flattering for spring /summer 2012 hinting at a new level of austere maturity. All adding to the shows playful energy. We welcome his vision.
