TORONTO, OCTOBER 19, 2011- To close the night, LG Fashion Week Beauty by L’Oréal Paris scheduled a major retail player in Canada, Sears. Not necessarely known for its avant-garde and fashionable garments, Sears decided some seasons ago to change things up by pairing with a major fashion personality – not designer, Jay Manuel. Isn’t that Cool? As the former host of Canada’s Next top model, and judge on ANTM, Mr Manuel knows quite a lot about the subject. And yesterday night was just a demonstration of his knowledge. No need of money, when you find great style at affordable prices.

On plastic glass catwalk, no need to mention it was just a requisite for models to fall, he presented an elegant, yet very casual collection inspired by hippie chic trend. With palazzo-like pants, wrap dresses and hot pants we completely felt in love with this 70’s vibe. Low maintenance fabrics, like cotton and jersey, kept the looks low key and in harmony with Sears philosophy. A good collection, with great accessoires, that went further than our expectations.
