NEW YORK, Dec 5, 2011/ FW/ — Early today in New York, the Valentino Garavani Virtual Museum opens its virtual doors to the public via a press conference that was streamed live on YouTube.
Actress Anne Hathaway joined Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti to host a press conference to unveil the Valentino Garavani Virtual Museum.
As “godmother” of the virtual museum, Anne Hathaway discussed in length how the Valentino Garavani Virtual Museum revolutionized the art and fashion worlds saying that “Before today, there was no way for us to inundate ourselves with [fashion] history. Today, it is available to all of us.”
Additional featured speakers included Franca Sozzani, editor in chief of Italian Vogue and Amit Sood, creator of the Google Art Project. Hugh Jackman also attended and was on-hand for the virtual “ribbon cutting.”
