NEW YORK, Feb 14, 2012/ FW/ — Entitled ‘Gold Rush Era’, backstage at Candela, the designer, Gabriela Perezutti-Isacson, exclaimed that her inspiration for Candela’s Fall 2012 collection was the Gold Rush Era because “while looking at old family pictures, the Gold Rush Era in California was specifically the same time when my family installed their farm, so both eras contained the same type of clothing, so it was very inspirational to see the two eras colliding.”
As for the beauty for the Fall 2012 collection, the designer wanted a Victorian look with a pop of deep, darker colors coming out through the makeup, and a messy look for the hair giving the collection a ‘Gold Rush Glamour’ type feel.
