NEW YORK, Feb 15, 2012 / — Custo Barcelona’s Fall 2012 collection debut at New York Fashion Week is all about the rocker-chic vibe. White, red, green, brown, black and hints of lavender were the main colors of the season; these hues are seen on wool, leather, metallic applications and technically finished fabrics.

The skirts are thigh high and fringe is swinging from jackets, boots, and oversized outerwear. Contrasting volumes are paired with fitted shorts and skirts. Jackets and coats create a cocoon shape made from wild wools and raw cuts.

The genius behind the collection, Custo Dalmau, said this season his goal was to “make something that was experimental and contemporary.”

Experimental it is, indeed. Models walked in tall open-toe boots that lace up the front and have fur along the back calfs paired with high socks. All of the pieces were crafted with mixed-matched fabric from wool to leather creating a haphazard look that somehow worked seamlessly.

A little edgy, a little sexy, a little futuristic in silhouette … choose any piece and you will undoubtedly make a statement wherever you go.
