NEW YORK, Feb 10, 2012/— Visiting Zang Toi at his atelier today, we found him busy with fittings with two of his models trying on the dress and gown they will wear on Monday, February 14th when Zang Toi unveils his Fall 2012 collection.
And just to give you a sneak peek, the collection is as gorgeous as we can expect from Zang Toi. Entitled Glamour at Gestadt, the collection was inspired by the beautiful Swiss landscape.
I was on holiday in Switzerland and I just fell in love with the place, said Zang Toi. When I got back here in New York, I was already planning on going back there for my next vacation. It was on my mind so much, it naturally became my muse.
And what an amazing collection! Yet, what is more amazing is that the whole show is ALL ZANG TOI! The clothes, the shoes, the bags, the make-up and the jewelry are all under the House of Toi label.
Zang Toi has three licensees – the shoes, the bags and the make-up (under Amazing Cosmetics) all of which are already being sold in Asia and of course in Zangs native Malaysia. Zang also designs a fine jewelry line. The cosmetics line is expected to hit the U.S. in September.
A budding enterprise is furniture. Zang has designed a mirror chair heavily influenced by Venetian aesthetics yet still very modern. Though not a product line yet, the chairs nevertheless are being sold in Asia and as far as the Middle East.
