MONTREAL, FEBRUARY 6th, 2012- First to kick off the week, Muse by Christian Chenail presented a boring collection. As said in the press release, the designer was inspired by the 40s and 70s, feminine and masculine stylings, shades of Katherine Hepburn and clean architectural lines. We felt like there was no focus in the inspirations, just too much of everything without truly feeling the essence of it. We would have like to see more unity, subtlility and creativity.

Unfortunately, the collection just kept us confused. The whole styling was not very new, giving an impression of deja vu.

However, Chenail presented well tailored pieces in shades of brown, black, burgundy and cognac, that will for sure please his clientele. The collection featured great peplum jackets and nice wide pants.

Sadly, this first Fall-winter collection of the week did not impress us much.
