NEW YORK, Feb 17, 2012/ FW/ — Entitled ‘Future Perfect’, the designer, Michelle Smith was inspired by high-tech materials, as well as innovative fabric manipulation to create a Fall/Winter 2012 collection that is futuristic in nature, as well as contains intricate, constructed pieces.

Smith redefines the sense of elegance with an edge in her collection by containing basic hues of black and white in her looks, then contrasting those colors with vibrant, bold colors of shocking pink, heliotrope, chartreuse, and clover.

For texture, Smith used unexpected volumes and played with shapes by juxtaposing super-structured jacquards, technical taffetas, bonded wool, and laminated, complex tweeds with elegant, luxurious leather and silk materials to create a fresh and exciting collection that is wearable for women of all shapes and sizes.
