NEW YORK, Feb 10, 2011 / — Since its founding in 1997 by design duo Sonja Rubin and Kip Chapelle, RubinChapelle has consistently made inroads to the fashionistas consciousness season after season.

With celebrity fans like Kiera Knightley, Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Alba, it is not really surprisingly that the label is a commercial success, opening its first store in Manhattan in 2002 and in Malibu in 2011.

For Fall 2011, RubinChapelle continues their Midas touch with their Gold Tie collection that focuses on after-six attire. With the aesthetics of the collection centering on the idea of an alternative to the traditional black and white codes, the designers proposed gold as both a trim or the main color with black or white as trim.

Lingerie finishes appear on hems, necklines and corset belts. Fabrics include silk creeps, satins and jersey. Long 1920s silhouettes are suggestive and commensurately sexy to the short fitted bodies.
