MILAN, Jun 26, 2012/ — Inspired by the traveling man who absorb foreign and regional cultures together, the Missoni Men Spring / Summer 2013 proposes safari jackets, field jackets, bombers and two button blazers in knit and printed nylons that are combined with tropical weight sandblasted drill.

These classic items that form a base for a contemporary and modern men’s wardrobe are further enhanced by the Missoni heritage knits.

The characteristic polo shirts, henleys, pulls and cardigans are inspired by the marriage and reworking of ethnic textiles from South East Asia, that are then amalgamated with traditional menswear reference such as border stripes, herringbones and hounds tooth.

The distinctive use of colour resonates across the collection where classic men’s colours such as sand, dark olive and ink are used to create different gradient techniques, that are then further enhanced with vivid accents such as bright coral, poppy red, saffron and bright emerald green.

The use of unique Missoni knits are used once again to create special additions of the Converse Auckland Racer to compliment this classic and contempory Missoni men’s wardrobe.
