NEW YORK, Jun 11, 2012/ — Celebrating her Britishness, Stella McCartney held a garden party in lieu of a formal presentation of her Spring 2013 collection.
Held at the famous and historic Marble Cemetery in Manhattan’s East Village, the glitterati and the fashion set flocked to the oldest public non-sectarian cemetery in New York City.
Oh, don’t worry; the party goers were not a bother to the dearly departed. Although the Marble Cemetery is still considered holy ground, the last burial was in 1937. And all burials are in 156 below ground vaults made of solid white Tuckahoe marble, hence the name, Marble Cemetery
An artsy feel; a star-studded guest list, who together with Stella enjoyed another famous Stella, the Stella Artiois – created a party atmosphere.
Attendees included Anne Hathaway, Amy Poehler, Jim Carrey, Lauren Hutton, Greta Gerwig, Emily Mortimer, Solange Knowles, Marilyn Minter, Helen Marden, Anna Wintour, Andre Leon Talley, Glenda Bailey, Roberta Myers, Ingrid Sischy, Olivia Harrison, Sandra Brant, Cindi Leive, Graydon and Anna Carter, among others.
