TRIESTE, Italy, JULY 20 th 2012- For the eleventh year, Diesel has been a sponsor and main partner of International Talent Support (ITS), the important international runway competition that discovers, awards and supports young promising talent in their careers and business. The final event for the 2012 edition of ITS, took place in Trieste, Italy, on Saturday, July 14th 2012.

Renzo Rosso, DIESEL founder and Only The Brave President, was joined by iconic artist Marina Abromovic, Vogue Italia and Vogue.it Senior Fashion Editor Sara Maino, fashion blogger Susie Bubble, and several other major fashion international influencers to comprise the ITS jury.

This year, the 2012 Diesel Award was given to Marius Janusauskas, a Lithuanian student of the Hogeschool Antwerpen. The jury was enraptured by the extreme balance of Marius’ collection: a complete and mature work with a strong consistency from concept to execution. In particular, the young designer was able to answer the Diesel Award request of creating “a couture interpretation of denim” with a very high quality, interesting proposal.

 

The DIESEL AWARD celebrates the creations of young talent and aims to ensure that their creative dreams come true by offering a cash prize of € 25,000 so that the winner can to promote his work, career, and business in the best possible way. In addition to the cash prize, Marius Janusauskas will also join the DIESEL creative team in the Italian headquarters for a 6 month internship.
